It is important to gain an advantage or be ahead of others (in regardless of field) in the competitive market nowadays. There are various open courses which are offered to working adults so that they could improve themselves. But, what are the improvements to make?

Well, if you are trying to gain an advantage in your company, you might want to evaluate your job and your role very well. For example, if your job induces a ridiculous amount of stress and it affects your performance, then maybe you should enrol into a stress management course. Through such a course, you learn how to manage and release your stress, and it contributes to a positive change in your job performance.

Besides that, you could also build a competitive advantage if you take up some language courses- more relevant if you are working in an international company which requires you to deal with people of other cultures. On top of that, you may want to consider taking Phoenix training courses such as presentation skills if you are in the field that requires you to present ideas. Such a department could include the sales team or even the marketing team.

I read a report on the daily mail which stated that December and January are the busiest month for divorces and break up’s.  I find such reports rather distasteful. Are the couples really rushing in the things these days?  I strongly feel that they are rushing in. Instead of getting caught in momentary pleasure the girl and the boy both need to communicate to each other about their goals aspirations and ambitions in all the spheres of life.  I happen to work as a counselor at times and most cases that have come to me are about problems in relationship.  Most problems I feel arise due to the fact that persons are not very aware of their own needs, desires and wants. The firm called Bross Bennett has come up with a list of questions that a couple should ask each other before they decide to live with each other or before they decide to wed.  Having seen the glimpses of the questions, I feel that couples should definitely undertake this exercise.  It deals with areas and issues that can become bone of contention between both the partners.  This includes careers, intrusiveness from the in-laws as well as the financial sharing and housework.  I know that personally these are the areas where most problems arise.

Lake District is obviously a place with great lakes and water bodies. Cruising on boats is available on many of these beautiful lakes. On my Visit to Lake District I went Lake cruising with my family in Windermere. It was in the holiday town of Bowness that we decided that we will take a memorable boat trip. My wife spent some time shopping and collecting mementos while I enjoyed a hot black tea in a nearby café.  There was a good choice of cruises to choose from. We decided to take a cruise that gives most to us. We set from Ambleside. It has the majestic mountains and the gentle cruise among the breathtaking views is something to behold. The Lakeland village is a great place to disembark and have some fun time before continuing the boat journey. We saw the award winning aquarium and the Haverthwaite Steam Railway.  The Aquarium had the collection of most fantastic freshwater fish and diving ducks were a sight to see. It was indeed a wonderful time that I and my wife enjoyed to the hilt. It had the perfect balance of peace and activity. I strongly suggest to take a lake cruise at least once with your beloved. You will collect a memory of a life time.

Children are naturally curious and ask some of the most fascinating, probing, obvious, and embarrassing questions.  For parents it’s really a task to answer their queries.  My grandson keeps his parents on the toes with is questions.  Sometimes I am not spared either. Recently my son gave ride to someone while bringing his family here. So after they all came and settled, my grandson Andrew, asked the question, since when did hitch hiking start, and why do people show thumbs as a means to ask for a ride. My son was at a complete loss for this answer.  So we used the information almighty Google to find out the answer.  So this is the information we got. To hitch basically meant hooking horses to a wagon or ‘fastening’, and hiking meant walking fast. The word ‘Hitchhike’ first started to be coming in verbal use around 1880. It was used to describe hooking a sledge to a car.  The thumb is representative of the Hook expressing the wish to be attached to a moving car.  In other regions of the world similar wish has a different hand signal.  Andrew seemed satisfied and bored as we gave him this explanation.
